The 6th house represents: How you work, daily activities, mundane activities, pets, food, nutrition and health.
Sun in the 6H: Your core or ego is tied to 6H matters of work, daily activities, mundane, pets, food, nutrition and health. You highly value working hard and consider yourself a hard worker. You work with enthusiasm and vigor, ready to take on the next day. You value healthy foods and your overall health. Your priorities lie in being practical, grounded, efficient, and healthy.
Moon in the 6H: You must find your work emotionally satisfying, or else you won’t like it. If your Moon makes an aspect to Uranus, this will add a feeling of being TRAPPED in a job, and that will make matters worse. ( I have Moon/6H trine Uranus/10H and I have that effect ). Moon in the 6H NEEDS to like their job. It’s of utmost importance. Moon in the 6H might jump from job to job, in search for the perfect job. Working in food, health or nutrition might be satisfying to them, especially if the ruler of your 6H is in the 6H. There might be a tendency to look up health symptomes on Google when one feels ‘weird’ and then get anxiety when STROKE SYMPTOMS come up. Just sayin’.
Mercury in the 6H: Communication is key in where you like to work. Communication is key in any job, but it’s especially important for you. You might write for a job, or you might deal with customer service or sales. You’re good at communicating with your co-workers and have mostly friendly relations with them. Also, this can show you’re very analytical and there is a strategy even when you are doing housework. You feel comfortable with planning and strategizing, and do not feel trapped when in a structured environment.
Venus in the 6H: I think this position shows that you are compassionate and helpful. You like to be helpful and needed. Does this mean you LOVE working? No, probably not. You feel the drudgery of going to work or doing housework everyday like anyone else. My dear sister has Scorpio Venus in the 6H and yes, she feels it when going to Chipotle ( where she works ). When you’re working, you like to help others. It makes you feel good. When dating or married, you are likely to want to be of help to your partner. You want to feel like they need you. It could also mean you are organized and efficient as a partner yourself. However, you might enjoy indulging in good foods too much. My sister goes out to eat too much.
Mars in the 6H: Things in astrology can manifest in so many ways. One way this can manifest is that you’re the type of person who gets the job DONE. Everyone can count on you. You might also be physically strong and capable of physical labor, like construction work. At either rate, you can be authoritarian at a job, directing others to what they should be doing. At your best, you are a good leader who has everyone’s best interests at heart. When Mars is afflicted, you might turn into the ‘Job Tyrant’ where you are constantly barking orders and getting on everyone’s nerves. Until someone complains to the supervisor about your bossy ways… unless you ARE the supervisor, that is. Then that’s different. Or the time when your little sibling told on you to Mom/Dad that you were being too bossy, dividing chores unevenly.
Jupiter in the 6H: This can bring Jupiter’s optimism to work. A lot of people like that. You might be likeable at your job, or perhaps you find it easy to have FUN at your job, even if it’s at McDonalds, and you know you and your co-workers can have a good laugh when cooking food for customers. Who knows? Jupiter is the expansion. You might want to eat too much food or drink too much alcohol, which can lead to ill effects on your health.
Saturn in the 6H: This does not mean you’re going to be sick all the time. It CAN mean that, but it can also mean you’re as healthy as a horse. Saturn is discipline and this can be used to discipline yourself in matters of diet and exercise. You might be highly health conscious. When Saturn is afflicted to Pluto or the Moon, there might be a tendency to anorexia, especially with Saturn in the 6H. Something to be aware of. With regards to work, this can manifest in a way that you are a good worker, steady and reliable. If Saturn is afflicted to Mars, there are self-confidence issues.
Uranus in the 6H: Your approach to work is different, or you think of new ways to do it. Or perhaps you break all the rules at work, because you’re cool like that. Maybe you put too much Chipotle Southwest Sauce on someone’s Veggie Delite sandwich just because you know they like it so much ( when you’re not allowed to ). However, your work may be erractic. You might get bored easily at work, or might get bored with housework or daily routines. It’s wise to mix things up or have fun. Play music or make a game out of it.
Neptune in the 6H: Like Moon in the 6H, your work has to be emotionally satisfying. You want to help people, since you consider yourself very compassionate. You might want to work in a soup kitchen or run a donation charity. If Neptune is afflicted, you might come off as unrealiable to potential employers, so beware of that. You might be afraid to quit a job, because you’re afraid of confrontations. Neptune is the planet of illusions and escapism: There can be ill effects on health, but only if you’re NOT CAREFUL. This can indicate drug abuse or alcohol abuse, or it can indicate obesity. All those things can be prevented.
Pluto in the 6H: A good way this can manifest is that you’re committed to your work. You get the job done. You seem reliable. You like to have influence in what you do. You might want to influence others, or your co-workers. You bring intensity to work. With Pluto in the 6H of health, there needs to be some caution here. Pluto can be self-richeous, so this can indicate someone who might be like that with food. Perhaps this can be the person who is into organic food and insults anyone else who does not agree with him or her. Eating disorders, when Pluto is in aspect to the Moon or Saturn, can arise, especially if there is a connection to the 8th house of obsession. Eating disorders of all sorts: Orthorexia Nervosa ( the desire to eat only pure foods, to eat healthy ), Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, or Binge Eating Disorder. Pluto can be on any side of the extremes. Okay, not everyone with this placement has an eating disorder, but it’s always something to be cautious about.

Planets in the 5th House
Originally posted early Dec 2010
The 5th house symbolizes self expression, romance, love affairs, how we express love and enthusiasm, enthusiasm, theatre, hobbies, crafts, children, our own children, how we feel about children, creativity, etc.
Sun in the 5H: You are a highly creative and enthusiastic person. You might even have a knack for theatre or dance. Anything that allows you to shine! In fact, your ego is tied to shining, even if it is not associated with traditional Leo things, like theatre or dance. You might be talented at writing and your ego is tied to shining and being the best. At any rate, whatever your talent is, you need to shine. On another note, you might be the type of person who is sociable, charming and loves children. Children are attracted to you, but more of as a play mate, rather than a nurturer ( Unless there is something else in your chart ).
Moon in the 5H: Your emotions might be expressed somewhat dramatically. You’re a moody person with many ups and downs in life, but you feel the need to SHOW your emotions. You might be one who absolutely needs attention to your emotions. You may feel emotionally vulnerable when you are not praised or taken notice of, or when your talents are not taken notice of. You do not like to feel useless at any rate. Others might accuse you of being too dramatic, needy and a show off. You might find you are that way when you are insecure and when you’re secure, you will find you’re not a show off at all. This is another creative position, as this shows a colorful person. You love children and want to become a parent someday. * Again, unless something is fucked in your chart.
Mercury in the 5H: You’re a dramatic speaker with charisma, even if you have a Mercury in Pisces or Virgo. What you talk about may involve your personal love affairs, gossip, hobbies, or even children. You might also be a creative writer, interested in writing children’s stories or romance novels.
Venus in the 5H: Your romantic life is often marked by love affairs and you have many, unless there is something fucked in your chart, as I say all the time. You are a sociable and outgoing person, who finds it easy to show affection. You also express your love emotions freely to another person, whether they accept you or not. You are perhaps a big flirt and may not want to settle with one person right away, until you meet the “right one.” You’re a true romantic.
Mars in the 5H: One part of the 5H is self-expression. Perhaps you self-express yourself from actions or any sort of activity that burns energy. You’re a fireball of energy. Maybe running marathons is one of your hobbies. Maybe exercise is your hobbies.Maybe you exercise, run, or weight lift for fun! You might also be a motivational person for children, or an adult who can spark children to action, whether it’s helping the needy or cleaning up a park. This may also manifest in that you may fight for children’s rights.
Jupiter in the 5H: Jupiter expands self expression and creativity. You like to be free to express yourself, whether it is in writing or simply just stating your mind. You are a person who thrives on having fun, whether you want to go out and party, or go to an amusement park. Or perhaps you simply enjoy hanging out with your friends. However, Jupiter has a downside. All play and no work doesn’t help in the long run.
Saturn in the 5H: Saturn restricts, but this does not mean you’re a boring person. You might find it hard to be creative, unless there is something else in your chart that permits you to be creative. However, that does not mean you do not have a creative outlet. However, not everyone is creative. Saturn in the 5H does not mean you hate kids, but you might not want them, or at least right away. You are not the type of person to go “gaga” over little babies. However, your self expression may be structured. People know what to expect. You’re highly practical and organized. You’re not romantic and not an easy flirter.
Uranus in the 5H: A highly creative and innovative position. You might enjoy hobbies that are abnormal or bizarre to some, whatever that may be. You’re not exactly the norm. You might have affairs/dating for a while, but then abstain for a long and uncertain period of time, preferring to be aloof and independent.
Neptune in the 5H: You might find hobbies that deal with the spiritual side of you, whether it’s hanging out at Church or chilling with peeps who are into astrology. You’re sensitive and creative, perhaps interested in writing poetry. You might enjoy swimming or any hobbies relating to the sea/ocean. You may enjoy taking care of children and sensitive to their needs. You’re romantic, but don’t always let it on. An idealist.
Pluto in the 5H: “Owning” creativity, or intensely creative. You put a lot of effort into your own creativity and child rearing. You do not take love affairs lightly. It’s all or nothing. You are deeply afraid of betrayal of any form. Dating may not have always been easy for you, because you may have had trust issues in the past. Harness your creative energies and you could create something great, or put your mark on the world.

Planets in the 4th House
Originally posted November 2010
I apologize for not being a regular. However, my other laptop decided to die. Well, it didn’t exactly die, per se. But… its fan died, so it was overheating after ten minutes in November. So I knew I was getting a new computer anyway, so I decided not to bother fixing it for one week of usage.
Now remember with planets in the 4th house; if you have more than one planet in there, the descriptions are not going to be as cut and dry. Everything will be modified. My descriptions are always general.
Planets in the 4th house: the 4th house represents the mother ( traditionally ), emotional security, the family, roots, the private self, the private sphere, the home, gardening, genealogy, heritage, your own motherhood or how you nurture, etc.
Sun the 4H: Your ego is tied with the home, nurturing, kin, roots, and you are, perhaps, a very private person. Again, this shows an interest in family matters, as you are a family oriented person. You value family and you are nurturing, even if you are a man. Perhaps you’re a family man. However, this may also show an inclination to traditional gender roles. If you’re a woman, you may value motherhood and the home, the traditional sphere for women. If you’re a man and while you may be a family oriented type of guy who is nurturing to your children, you still may prefer a more traditional gendered environment. This does not mean you’re a weirdo “give me a sammich bitch” type of guy. You truly appreciate what is done in the house that your wife or girlfriend does, and you may help out yourself as you value home matters and nurturing.
Moon in the 4H: What you feel secure or need is tied with the home, motherhood, nurturing, the family and the private sphere. Again, this is a placement that points me towards a private person. This does not mean you are going to be a stay at home mom or dad. However, you are a highly emotional person who NEEDS a strong bond between your parents and family members. Now, if you don’t get along with one of your parents, you might get along better with the other one. If you don’t get along with your family at all, then there is something else going on with your Moon. Perhaps there is a square, or some sort of connection to the 9H or 11H via aspects or house rulers in houses.
Mercury in the 4H: Your home life is very communicative. Perhaps your mom or dad talked a lot, or enjoyed talking on the phone. Maybe there was some gossip in your family circle. Either way, there is communication. There is also a chance that your family encouraged your intellect, writing style, and education.
Venus in the 4H: What your house looks like is important to you, or at least it might have been important to your family. You like to feel comfortable in your own home. The senses are important to you. You like a beautiful and charming home that is decorated nicely. However with regards to love, you might be a private lover who is sensual and sensitive. You are not possessive, but you do want your loyalty and you are very affectionate and want to feel secure.
Mars in the 4H: Is it possibly that family live was stormy, or that there were lots of arguments in the family? Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps you were encouraged to be active and be in some sort of sport by either of your parents. Family life could have also manifested in an active home. You guys might have always been doing something, and always getting something done. Chores always had to be done, but they could have been made into a game of some sort.
Jupiter in the 4H: You may have good relations with your parents and family, unless something is really fucked in your chart. OF course you get into fights with family members. Who doesn’t? But over all you may have a good relationship that is pleasant. Your home life might have been centered around either: learning, culture, sophistication, higher education, and religion. Your higher education goals might been encouraged highly, or perhaps you were from a highly religious family. Or maybe you and your family traveled a lot or moved around a lot. Jupiter represents expansion, as well. Maybe you have a big extended family.
Saturn in the 4H: No, this does not mean you don’t have a family. Or that you’re an orphan. This placement can manifest in many different ways that I can only speculate. One way is that maybe you were not close to either of your parents, or one was incredibly distant and not emotive enough. You might have wanted to get away or not felt loved enough. Even if you did not feel like you were loved, that does not mean your parents do not love you… However, there are sad and rare instances when moms and dads do not really love their kids. At either rate, another way this can manifest is that the home life was/is very structured and systematic. On one hand you might have had a parent that demanded perfectionism, straight A’s, and getting your chores done. You might have been reprimanded if you did not do something right the first time. Or perhaps your family life was conservative or conventional. Maybe your parents/family did not accept your friends, or even you. They might not have been open to new experiences or new types of people.
Uranus in the 4H: Your family life was either quirky and unusual, or unusual and unstable. You might have two strange parents who others might find odd, or perhaps you are a quirky parent yourself who embarrasses your kids. On the other hand you might have had an unstable family life, in whichever way that manifested. Unstable family lives can come in many forms that I will not elaborate on here. Another way this could have manifested is that your family is open to change and novelty, accepting people of all cultures and walks of life. You might come from a liberal family.Your values may be liberal, or liberally minded.
Neptune in the 4H: Neptune has a good and dark side, just like all planets. You might have come from a pleasant family that is kind and sympathetic, a mother or father who is giving, yet may be taken advantage of or is a push over. You may be a pushover yourself, a very private person. On the other hand, there might have been instability in your family. Someone may have been a liar, or there were deception about, drug and alcohol abuse, or maybe you escaped from reality in some form to escape family issues.
Pluto in the 4H: Your family live has taught you to be secretive. Again, this can manifest in many ways. You might feel ashamed of your family or a family member of whatever reason. Maybe a mom was on drugs or a dad was in prison? Who knows? Another way this can manifest is that your family may have been over protective of you, trying to keep you away from the dangers of the world. Or perhaps something bad happened to you when you were little that makes you distant and aloof. This placement also shows that your parents beliefs are deeply ingrained in you. What they believe is what you believe.

Planaets in the 3rd House
The 3rd house deals with communication, k-12 education, learning, short term travel, left brain thinking, logic, details, siblings, etc.
Now, everyone has a sign in the 3rd house. Even if you don’t have planets in the 3rd house, you can see where the ruler of your 3rd house is. ( i.e. what house the ruler is ). I will get to something like that later on, though. But you can always google “Rulers of House in Houses.” Cafeastrology and Astro-Fix ( Blog of an Astrology Addict ) have great posts on stuff like that. If you’re interested, of course.
Now let’s get started…
Sun in the 3H: Communicating with others is a vital part of your life, of your personality, and your ego. You might be highly charismatic and can easily persuade someone to see your point of view. You might be great at being a sales person. You know the right things to say to people at the right moments. It’s easy for you to say flattering words and people will believe it. It is likely that you had a good education, even if you come from a disadvantaged family, as long as other factors in the chart and your upbringing allow you to. You value education, especially the K-12 education. You might even value education of other kids; seeing them as the future and hoping for the best education for them.
Moon in the 3H: This deals with emotional communication. One of two things can happen in a native with this placement: They will either find it extremely easy to talk about their feelings and how they feel; or they might rationalize their feelings. Again, this will depend on the sign of the Moon, aspects of the Moon, the 3rd house sign, and the ruler of the 3rd house. This might also indicate someone who can use emotional persuasiveness; they can easily persuade people via emotions. You might find it easier to communicate with women than men, or at least you are sympathetic in your communication, regardless of if you really care about the person you’re talking to.
Mercury in the 3H: This is the “jackpot” for Mercury to be in. Mercury is at “home” in the 3H. With Mercury here, you find it easy to communicate in all sorts of scenarios. Here, you are fairly flexible. You might have found it easy to study and still do well in school when you are younger. You probably favor education, but still find it easy. Your thinking style is somewhat left brained, systematic, detailed, and logical, as long as nothing else in the chart permits this expression. This is a great placement for those Grammar Nazis. Mercury in the 3H is a great placement for writing and writing ability. You might also be wonderful at proofreading people’s papers. Mercury in the 3H, if it makes aspect to the 10H or 6H, can show a teaching career.
Venus in the 3H: No, young person, this does not make you “stupid.” Once there was a question from a person with this placement and they were afraid it made them stupid. Venus in the 3H can show a love of writing or speaking eloquently. If you have writing ability, you might enjoy writing romance novels. Does Twilight appeal to you? ( I hope not, but what is one’s waste is one’s gold. IDK. ) However, while this does not make you stupid, you might not have an interest in math/logic/science. You might find that stuff boring. All the more, you might be more right brained in your thinking, preferring art and music as academic subjects you like. If you do like math and science, then there is something else going on in your chart. Or perhaps you are an exception.
Mars in the 3H: This can give a quick and alert mind, but you might be prone to jumping to conclusions without really thinking. Mars is not a thinker. Mars is a doer. Nonetheless, you could be abrupt and blunt in your speech, sometimes being offensive even when you mean no harm. You are probably an assertive and confident speaker, and good at debates. Or at least you enjoy debates. If you don’t like real life debates, then you might find yourself arguing with people online at least. About politics or religion, or whatever. You’re the type of person who will keep on arguing your point, even if the other person proved you wrong a million times.
Jupiter in the 3H: Oh, my, my friends, I have this placement. Jupiter in the 3H may expand the mind and expand education. Education is probably highly important to you, both K-12 and higher education. ( Jupiter rules higher education and Mercury rules earlier education ). You might enjoy talking… alot. Even if you’re shy. You might enjoy talking about politics, religion, and philosophy. However, sometimes you are too broad minded and might not see the details all too much, unless something else in the chart says otherwise. Publication and writing may be pronounced here. You might like writing adventure stories or comedy stories.
Saturn in the 3H: This does not make one a boring communicator. However, it also does not limit education to you, either. Maybe in some cases, it can, but not all people with Saturn in the 3H have limited education. If anything, people with this placement are study hard, because they know studying hard will give them good results. They have a practical, orderly and structured mind; and perhaps are good at math and science. Your communication is to the point and direct, yet practical. You are not the type of person to stand before your class and get enthusiastic about what you say. Leave that to the Sun and Mars person. You are more likely to give facts and proof. :-)
Uranus in the 3H: Again, another good placement for math and science, but it does not automatically make you good at it. I’ve seen some people with Saturn and Uranus in the 3H, and they weren’t good at it, while others were. Uranus in the 3H can give an innovative and creative mind. It also gives some intuition and you might find an easy solution to the math problem. However, it’s easy for you to “think outside of the box” and this shows in your everyday communication with people. You might be interested in social studies or any other social studies class, such as sociology and politics.
Neptune in the 3H: Neptune here can be a good placement for math, especially if you find that you are the person who can reach the answer in math and not know how you got there. Neptune here gives intuition, and yes, that can be used for math. It can also be used on tests. Do you ever find that you intuitively know the answer, but not know how you got there? On the other side of things, you might really enjoy English, literature, art, and music as academic subjects.
Pluto in the 3H: In your everyday communication, you might enjoy talking about intense subjects, or taboo subjects. You might enjoy talking about sex or STD’s, or mental illness, or whatever. This can also indicate someone who just enjoys probing minds. You might also be prone to manipulation and getting what you want in situations. Nonetheless, you have the potential to be charismatic and intense in your speeches, getting everyone to agree with you. This can also indicate someone who is interested in writing murder stories and investigative stories. It can also indicate an investigative reporter as a job, if Pluto makes an aspect to the 10H in your chart. Or to the ruler of your 10H.
Astrology: Why I Write
Astrology: Why I Write
Partially, I am writing a blog for my Y!A Horoscope peeps, just in case they decide to check my Yahoo! profile and see the link to my page. It’s so much easier to explain things once on one blog.
I am sorry for the delay. I am going to write Planets in the 3rd House tonight, but everything is busy between school and work. Nonetheless, I have been on Yahoo Answers lately. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, but I am leaning more towards bad.
Planets in the 2nd house

Hello!! I am going to write my interpretations of planets in the 2nd house. However, before you read yours, I want you to remember that it is generalized, based upon what I read, and what I experience with people with these placements. If you have a bunch of planets in the second house, everything will be modified.
Planet’s sign and aspects modify too.
Sun in the 2nd House: You value and your ego are tied to your self-worth, possessions and money. You might be the type of person who values nice things and will work your ass off for that stuff. You might even be the type of girl who saves a little bit out of each of your pay check to buy a $300 Coach purse. ( And yes, they are nice and pretty, I agree ) This is why it’s of absolute importance your self-esteem and self-worth is high ( but not arrogant. ) But on most occasions, you do have a healthy self-worth and you’re confident in your money making schemes.
Moon in the 2nd House: It is important for your emotional health to feel like you are worthy and can make your own money. If you don’t feel like you can, you might become depressed, or maybe not value your money as much. You might also be an emotional spender. Think of “Retail Therapy.” When you feel like crap, the mall might seem more friendly. Or maybe the mall always seems friendly. Spending money makes you feel good. But make sure you’re able to budget your money wisely.
Mercury in the 2nd House: Your communication style reflects the area surrounding this house: self worth, possessions and your own money. You maybe like to talk about your possessions and what you have. Your intellectual style might be more inclined to being artsy. You are not a slow learner, but you know what you like. Left brained/logical subjects might not hold interest for you, as you may like literature, art, art history, graphic design, fashion, etc better.
Venus in the 2nd House: As a lover, you might have tendencies to state which material goods are “yours” and which material goods are your partner’s. You’re very possessive of your stuff and probably hate sharing. You might even be somewhat possessive of your partner, but not as much as your own stuff. You might even resent having a joint checking account, or sharing a checking account with a partner. When you break up with someone or get divorced ( not saying you will, but if you do ) you might be more obsessed with getting all your assets than actually being emotionally down in the dumps. However, on the good side, you’re a romantic and giving boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife. You’re the type to shower in gifts and you don’t use the gifts to control them, like how some might.
Mars in the 2nd House: You work hard for your money. While you may or may not be materialistic, you know what is yours and you will fight to keep what is yours. Like a house or a car. You might even frequently get into fights about possessions with family members. Some may consider you selfish with your money, but whether you are or not depends on the chart. You don’t mind buying yourself things, though, especially when you think you deserve it.
Jupiter in the 2nd House: This can mean you are “lucky” with money, or money somehow is able to fall into your lap when you need it. However, this can be a bad placement too, because you might be so used to money you spend it extravagantly. And when you ARE in trouble and money doesn’t come, then there is nothing to fall back on.
Saturn in the 2nd house: No, this does not automatically mean you will be poor. I am sure there are some poor people with this aspect, but this can also mean that you work hard ( very ) for your money. This is also shows that you are careful with your money and may have a huge savings account just in case something bad happens. Unless Saturn is stressed, you might be too much of a penny pincher or obsessed with money. But most likely you are simply cautious and spend money on things you need.
Uranus in the 2nd house: The way you make money might be erratic. You might have some big breaks with your money, making a lot, and then have a sudden windfall where you need help. However, that is only one way this can manifest. Maybe you donate money to humanitarian funds or for the ‘greater’ good. You might be interested in quirky ways to design a home, or might be interested in weird possessions. You might like to collect offbeat stuff.
Neptune in the 2nd house: We all know that Neptune has a good side and a dark side, kind of like Pluto. This can manifest in many ways. The first way is that you’re just a selfless and generous person. You might be the type of person who is ALWAYS giving your OWN money way to people who may or may not deserve it. Others might take advantage of you financially. Another way this can manifest is that you are poor, because you do not think material goods are important. You might only spend money on food and necessities. Another way this can manifest is that you might live in an illusion that money is not important. You might see credit cards as free money and get yourself into debt without thinking of the consequences. The saying that I made up just now, “You can be poor but live like a millionaire.” You might not have any concept of money expecting other people to take care of you
Example: My mother has her Neptune in the 2nd house. When she was young, she never bothered to work ( maybe a little bit ) or go to school because she thought she would get married and a man would take care of her. Well, 20 years later, she is quite poor, and is lots of debt, because of her credit cards back in the 1990’s.
Pluto in the 2nd house: You are possessive over your money and possessions, or you might be. You also might resent a joint checking account. This is kind of like Venus in the 2nd, but not entirely. A man with this chart might want to be the sole provider of his family and will like the power it gives to him. He might want to keep his wife in the house and under his power via what he buys her and takes care of her financially. A woman with this placement might really resent a joint checking account, and she and her husband might get into fights about this. Especially when the husband has no desire to control her or her money.
Planet’s sign and aspects modify too.

Planets in the 1st House

It is the most well-know. But what a lot of people don’t know, and I am not going to insult your intelligence, is that what house your sun is in will show what area of life it comes out in.
So a Pisces sun in the 4th house will be slightly different than a Person who has Pisces sun in the 9th house. The person with the 4th house Pisces sun is going to be very emotionally inclined to their family and roots. They may make a good family person and could be patriotic, too. But not necessarily in the creepy way. A person with their 9th house Pisces sun is going to have an interest in traveling the world, particularly Pisces places. They might want to go to all sorts of beach resorts or resorts with water. A cruise might appeal to them. They might find it interesting to study art, art history, or any academic field that is Pisces related. Now I was just using this as an example.
Planets in the 1st house:
* This is a general description. Your sun sign and aspects to the sun will modify what I say in here.
Sun in the 1st house: Your sun sign might be very pronounced. People may be able to guess your sun sign easily. However, even if your sun is in Pisces or Cancer, you are a very assertive person! You value your self-image and are perhaps a charming and sociable person. You are good at getting what you want, have charming and charismatic mannerisms, and are independent, despite what your sun sign is. As long as nothing else is fucked in your chart, you have a very charming disposition. I bet a lot of people like you.
Moon in the 1st house: You come off as a very emotional person. You tend to react to outward stimuli with emotion. Or, perhaps your Moon sign is more prominent in your personality. Let’s say you have an Aries moon. You’re going to react to the world very easily with the enthusiastic, lively, aggressive Aries emotions. You might get pissed at the world easily. Either way, you tend to react to the world in an emotional manner, despite what your sun sign is. People may see you as kindly, polite, understanding and empathetic person. Do children feel that they can be nurtured by you? Do people see you as ‘motherly’, even if you’re a guy, or it’s an annoyance to you if you’re a female?
Mercury in the 1st house: It’s easy for you to communicate with outward stimuli. You’re also probably easy to talk your way out of a speeding ticket, or not. Either way, you may have a know it all attitude to the world, or perhaps people simply think you are logical and smart without really knowing you too well. Words come naturally to you, either in written or spoken. Unless something is wrong with your chart, you’re able to communicate easily verbally. If not, there is always writing.
Venus in the 1st house: Does this necessarily make you hot? No. However, it can make you attractive to the opposite sex ( or same sex ), because of your charming and delightful outward personality. Even if you are not conventionally attractive, you’re still able to make yourself look fabulous, even if you’re a little overweight. People think you have a charming, pleasant and sociable personality. Showing affection is very easy for you to do. You may come off as artsy and creative. You may like to decorate your home in the way you want, or at least you dream of it. If you’re a girl, you’re a fashionista, or at least you care what you wear. That is not a bad thing, my friend. If you’re a man, do not disown this placement. It can be very beneficial for you.
Mars in the 1st house: You come off as very assertive ( or many aggressive or violent if there are stress aspects to any other planet/s ) and confident, even if you’re not really on the inside. People may comment on how you always seem to be ‘on the go’ or rushed, even if you’re rising sign is in Pisces, or Cancer, or have a Mars in Pisces or Cancer, or Taurus. You might get pissed off easily, especially if you are driving. If you are not careful, you are prone to all sorts of accidents.
Jupiter in the 1st house: You probably come off as fun. That is the best way I can describe it. Fun. You might be the type of person also is a comedian, or class clown. You like to say and do silly things. People either think you’re hilarious or stupid. However, on the opposite end, you can come off as cultured, sophisticated, and wise.
Saturn in the 1st house: Contrary to popular belief, this does not make you ugly. It, however, can make you shy and withdrawn… at first. You may be a complete outgoing and silly person, as long as the rest of your chart permits. You might also come off as serious and sober. People might be intimidated of you on some level or think you’re a snob. But that’s only before they first get to know you. However, I’m sure authority figures, like a boss, like you on first impression.
Uranus in the 1st house: You’re either probably introverted/independent, or outgoing/outrageous, or both depending on the day. You’re mannerisms are erratic and quirky, like the Aquarius rising. People may want to try to figure you out, but they simply can not. You seem irrational to some, but your mannerisms have logic to them. Really. If you do something odd, then it’s rationalized. For example, if you decide to wear mismatched socks. You might be interested in social groups at school or anywhere else, or not. If Uranus is stressed, you might not want to join groups, out of fear of joining the group, or being involved. Either way, you’re probably an interesting yet insightful person.
Neptune in the 1st house: You might come off as sensitive or even artistic, by people who don’t know you. If you’re a guy, you may be the sexy dreamy mysterious guy that all the girls secretly want. Okay, man, if you scoff, these girls are afraid to tell you! If you’re a girl, this can be both a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that you come off as very feminine, artistic, sensitive and kind. Or at least you try to be kind to people who you don’t know. The Golden Rule. But the curse is that some men might assume you’re the type of girl that is emotionally unstable and will melt once you meet him. You need to be careful. Women with Neptune in the 1st sometimes get weirdo stalkers. Remember, Neptune is the planet of illusions. Even if you took Karate class, or know martial arts ( if you have a strong Mars, lol ), your 1st house is how you come off. People might assume weird or creepy stuff about you. Neptune has the good and the bad.
Pluto in the 1st: This can add sexiness to your appearance, or at least you have a sexy attitude. If not, Pluto can manifest in other ways. You perhaps are able to transform your appearance. Some people might not be able to recognize you from five years ago. You might come off as intimidating at first, even if you’re a kind and awesome person. You might have an intensity that you aren’t even aware of that effects other people. Even if you know you’re an intense person, you might wonder why they act the way they do around you? At any rate, you probably have a ‘Take No Shit From People’ attitude to life. Even if people are trying to take advantage of you, you know and are able to escape without harm.
**** Some of you may have a bunch of planets in the 1st house. You may find that bits and pieces of what I said was true and some weren’t. Anyway, this is generalized, because I don’t know everyone in the world. However, planets can manifest in many ways, and there are many sources to read on. ****
So a Pisces sun in the 4th house will be slightly different than a Person who has Pisces sun in the 9th house.
My Progressed Sun Moved into Capricorn ( Nov 1, 2010 )
My natal sun sign is in Sagittarius. However, my sun has finally progressed into Capricorn sometime on October 30th, 2010. According to many websites I read, this will make me a more goal oriented, career driven, practical and sensible Sagittarius. I definitely have progressed a lot over the years.
I remember when my Mercury progressed into Capricorn in Summer 2004. I was fifteen. My natal Sagittarius Mercury is in the 9th house, which is associated with religion. That summer, I rejected the organized religion I was brought up in. I decided to be an Atheist, claiming that religion absolutely did not exist. I continued to watch my astronomy and evolution documentaries on the Science Channel. ( Yeah… instead of going out with my friends, I watched documentaries. I remember I watched one documentary on DRAGONS ). Right now I classify myself as Agnostic. However, I am not going into the technical details about all the different kinds of Agnostic people today, because I really don’t know what type of Agnostic I am.
I think this is very interesting to have my progressed sun now in Capricorn. My progressed sun is still in the 9th house, but at the very end of it.
My progressed chart for November 1, 2010:

Basic Astrology, Part Two
Last night I talked about the planets and what they generally meant. I probably didn’t touch upon everything, but that is okay, because there are lots of astrology blogs and websites ( and books ) all over. Right now I am going to talk about the Ascendant/Rising Sign, Houses, and Aspects.
It is vital to know the houses and aspects. Aspects modify the planet and therefore the sign that it is in. House placements also modify the planet’s sign, but also will show where the planets’ energies come into play. If you have many planets in one house ( three or more ) that shows a concentration in life. If you have, for example, four planets ( Venus, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter ) all in the 9th house, then that shows a concentration in 9th house matters, which deals with higher education, the higher mind, foreign travel, publication, religion, philosophy, etc. A person with those placements might travel ( or dream of if they can’t ) of traveling all over the world. House placements and aspects are why you can’t automatically judge a man with Scorpio Venus and automatically assume he’s a sexy sex beast and that he will stay with you forever. Because his house placement will show his energies. A man with Scorpio Venus in the 5th house is going to be much different than a man with a Scorpio Venus in the 12th house. Another example is a woman with Cancer Venus. My mother has a Cancer Venus residing in her 9th house. She absolutely has a hard time committing to one person and was at one time with five men at once! Now a lot of us might assume that a woman with a Cancer Venus is doting, motherly and will never cheat. My mom had a lot of foreign boyfriends too, now that I remember. My mother also has a Venus-Uranus square.
Houses:
First House: This is also known as your rising sign or ascendant. Any planets or aspects here will modify your sign in this house. This house is your outward personality, mannerisms, natural inclination when out in the world, how acquaintances see you or people who don’t know you well. This is also called a “mask” by some astrologers. This is true and false at the same time. A “mask” is fake, however, if your rising sign and the rest of your chart are not compatible, then it may be a “mask” you show to the world. For a lot of people, it’s not a mask and a part of their personalities. However, I would not judge a person on their first house, unless it’s heavily aspected or it’s prominent in some way. A lot of planets in the 1st house can make the rising sign the most important placement in the chart.
Second House: This house is your money, possessions, self worth, values, material goods, aesthetics, and arts. It is ruled by Taurus.
Third House: This house is your communication, short term travel, the left side of the brain, K-12 education, linear thinking, logic, siblings, neighbors, etc. This is ruled by Gemini. If you have Mercury here, then it’s at “home”. If you have many planets here, then communication is a central aspect of your life and may want to be a K-12 educator.
Fourth House: This house is the mother, emotional security, what we need to feel secure, the home, the family, the private self, etc.
Fifth House: This house is pleasure, love affairs, casual sex, romance, dating, children, self-expression, creativity, where you like to ‘shine,’ charisma, center stage, etc. This house is ruled by Leo. If you have the Moon here, then you might feel an emotional need to “show off” and emotions are a big part of your life.
Sixth House: This house is work ( the type of job to get you through college or not ) , how you work, your relations with co-workers, nutrition, food, health and wellness, exercise, etc. If you have your Moon, here then your work must be emotionally satisfying or else you’re depressed.
Seventh House: This house is marriage, love, partnerships, deep friendships, open enemies, marriage-like relationships, and how you generally are in any sort of close relationship. A lot of people are obsessed with this house. I don’t know why.
Eighth House: This house is SEX ( and not casual sex, but deep sex ), passion, other people’s money, loans, joint finances, legacies and inheritance, death, transformation, obsession, the occult, psychology, anthropology, digging to the ‘root’ of things, probing, etc. A lot of people are obsessed with this house, too. I bet you know why.
Ninth House: This house is higher education/university, publication, academics, philosophy, the right brain, religion ( or lack of ), legal documents, foreign travel, long road trips, foreign and international relations, different cultures or backgrounds, etc. If you have Saturn here, then you may be conservative in thought. If you have Pluto here, then you may want to force your religious beliefs on other people.
Tenth House: This house is your career, public image, place in society, what you contribute to society, and climbing up the career ladder. It also represents authority. If you have Mars here or in aspect here, then you may have issues with authority figures. But someday you might actually become the authority figure when you’re older.
Eleventh House: This house is your friends ( not best friends ) and acquaintances, networks, Facebook and Twitter, large organizations, humanitarian organizations, etc.
Twelfth House: This house is your dreams, subconscious, prisons and incarceration, mental hospitals, spiritualism, the self undoing, what you need to work on, what you hide, what you may be insecure about, etc. I know this house sounds scary, but it is the least understood. If you have mars here, the worst that could happen is that you may not know how to stand up for yourself, even if it’s in fiery Aries or Leo. Unless Mars is severely afflicted or something.
Aspects:
Conjunction: When two planets are “fused” together, or when they work hand in hand. They are mostly having to be in the same sign, but within 8-10 degrees of each other. If you’re sun is in Sagittarius at 7 degrees and Uranus in Sagittarius at 29 degrees, then they are not conjunct, even if they are in the same sign. However, you can have a conjunction between two planets that are not in the same sign, if one planet is at the end of hte sign and the other is at the beginning of one. Let’s take 0 degrees Jupiter Gemini and 29 degrees Taurus Venus. That would be a Jupiter-Venus conjunction.
Trine: This is a harmonious aspect. Usually, they are in the same element, but not always. I believe they are 120 degrees from each other, or within 10 degrees of the 120 degrees. The two planets work in harmony, but are still rather dynamic.
Sextile: Another harmnious aspect. They are 60 degrees from each other, give or take. They are not in the same element, but usually still in compatible elements. They work together, but not as dynamic as the trine.
Square: 90 degrees away from each other. This shows conflict and what you need to overcome. Most people have at least one square in their charts. Having squares is not the end of the world. It is just something you need to work on.
Opposition: 180 degrees. It’s “this or that” or nothing in between. There are two opposite forces and you need to find a happy balance. If you do that, then you’re good. A Mercury-Jupiter opposition: find a balance between details and the big picture.Don’t go back and forth between the extremes.
Quincunx or Inconjunct: This is when usually the planets are five away, or 150 degrees. The planets simply do not understand each other and you need to find adaptation between the two. Let’s say you have Mars-Venus quincunx. Well, youmay have a difficult finding someone, because what you love and what you’re attracted to aren’t the same

Basic Astrology... Very

I am beginning my first post to explain basic astrology.Of course, I am not going to simply only talk about sun signs. It’s very basic, but not simple. When most people think of astrology, they think of the sun sign. The sun sign is what magazines/wesbites/newspapers usually show in their horoscopes. One ( very usual ) argument against astrology is that we can not divide people into 12 categories. They are correct; we can’t do that, and if you know what real astrology is all about, you won’t. For example, if you were born on October 30th, you’re a Scorpio. Cha-ching!! We all know sun signs, but still, most people don’t know that even the sun has house placements and aspects that modify it. But I am not going there right now!!
THE SUN is what I just described. If you’re born November 29th, then you’re a Sagittarius. If you’re born June 21st, you don’t know if you’re a Gemini or a Cancer. Do not worry and do not be confused by cusps, if you hear about them. Let’s take June 21st for example. Sometimes the sun is in Gemini ( Tropical/Western Astrology ) on June 21st while other years it moves into Cancer. You need to do a natal chart to see what sun sign you are if you’re born on a “cusp.” The SUN in our natal charts represents our “core” personalities and our ego. Now, your sun has house placements and aspects, which will modify your sun sign. I am having that for a later post. I’m trying to stay basic.
THE MOON is not as well-known. Traditionally , it has been associated with women. And back in the day, if you were a woman, you were more likely to read your “horoscope” for your moon sign rather than your sun sign. Nowadays, we don’t do it that way, and the moon can apply to both men and women, and it does. The Moon represents our emotions and behavior. Usually, our Moon sign is more hidden underneath our rising sign ( which I will get to later ), sun sign, and other planets. Unless your moon is conjunct the asc, then that is different. ( Again, I will get to that in another post ). The Moon is something we are going to show those who we are close to, not necessarily to acquaintances and new people you meet. Moon synastry and compatibility is important with friendships and intmate relationships.
MERCURY deals with communication, how we learn, details, intellect to some level, and short term transportation. I do think Mercury is important in relationships/friendships, because sometimes those things can fail when there is a communication problem. But Mercury is also important with your academics. It shows how you learn. Let me make this clear: One Mercury Sign is NOT more intelligent than the other. Mercury is not a valid way to test IQ or academic intelligence. However, it can be used to show what you may find intellectually interesting, depending on house placement and aspects. But on a basic level, Air Mercuries communicate in a way that is “airy”: In general, they are good at communication, level headed, and sound knowledgeable. Of course, there are varying differences between the three. Gemini likes to know a little bit about everything, while Libra is more diplomatic and fair. Aquarius Mercury thinks outside of the box. Fire Mercuries communicate with enthusiasm!!!! ( Unless something else in their chart prohibits this, or they only show in writing like me ). Fire Mercuries are usually good communicators who are charismatic and creative. Of course, there are variances. Aries Mercury may speak fast, yet clear, and have a quick mind. They may also get bored easily, and may not like reading long novels. Sagittarius Mercury is great for the big picture, but may not see something that is right in front of them. ( Haha ). Leo Mercury likes talking about themselves, but has an intellect that is creative, imaginative, and confident. Earth Mercuries are grounded and may offer good advice. Logical and detail oriented are the best ways to describe them. Virgo Mercury is probably the most detailed and logical, but maybe has a hard time focusing on the big picture. Taurus Mercury is grounded and sensible. Capricorn Mercury is systematic, linear, practical and goal oriented. Water Mercuries communicate with emotion and depth. Is it possible to see someone with a Water Mercury to persuade you to buy a car to invoke your emotions? Possibly. Scorpio Mercury is good for probing. They may make good investigative reporters. Cancer Mercury is practical, yet can be very tender in their communication style. Pisces Mercury is imaginative, dreamy and big picture oriented.
MARS deals with aggression/assertion, drive, and sex drive. It is traditionally associated with men and even now, it is said that a woman’s Mars sign will show what she’s into. However, most people regardless of gender have goals and a sex drive, so I can think it can apply to both sexes.Mars also represents anger. If you have anger problems, check your Mars sign, placement and aspects. Especially look for any aspects to the Moon.
VENUS is love and romance. It’s sociability and how we show affection. It’s how we may be in relationships. There are questions on Yahoo Answers like, “My man is a Sagittarius Venus. Will he cheat?” or “I had a boyfriend who has a Gemini Venus. He cheated. Do all of them cheat?” Even looking at Venus sign is too simple. Not all Gemini and Sagittarius Venus people cheat. You have to mainly look at house placement and aspects for that. In the 8th house can show commitment ( but probably on someone’s terms )
JUPITER is luck, higher education, the higher mind, generosity, religion, and expansion. Jupiter is associated with Sagittarius. Sagittarius is associated with foreign travel. I have Jupiter in Gemini. My mind is always racing and sometimes I start to many things at once. Jupiter can also be associated with humor.
SATURN changes only once a year, so many people in one year may have the same sign. But that’s okay, because we all have different house placements and aspects. Saturn represents hard work, dedication, limitation, obstacles, climbing the social ladder, society, and conservatism. Where Saturn is in your chart will show where you have to do hard work or may have obstacles. Saturn-Moon aspects may show that you try to limit your emotional expression. Just sayin’.
URANUS… no, it’s not YOUR-ANUS, though if you want to spell it that way, then you’re more than welcome to. It does quite sound like that, though. Uranus is a generational planet. What does that mean? Well, it means that many people in a generation have the same Uranus sign. However, Uranus can be personal, when you look at house placement and aspects. Uranus deals with revolution, social change, quirks, in with the new and out with the old, novelty, innovation, creativity, etc. It is the higher octave of Mercury. Uranus is typically associated with genius.
NEPTUNE is another generational planet. But you can see personal influence in aspect and house placement. Neptune deals with spiritualism, addictions, illusions, fantasy, imagination, sensitivity, etc.
PLUTO is not a planet anymore, but it still holds significance in astrology. People are obsessed with the Pluto in Scorpio generation. Pluto deals with the occult, sex, and transformation. On a societal level, it represents corruption, power, and transformation. Last time Pluto was in Aquarius, the French were having a revolution. In the 1980’s, Pluto was in Scorpio and people learned about AIDS. The terrorists attacks of September 11, 2001 ( religious ) happened in Pluto in Sag. I the beginning of Pluto in Cap in 2008, we had the beginnings of the recession.
Well. That is as basic as it gets. I can go in more detail about each of the planets in later posts, but I wanted to give a very basic outline to the planets and what they mean.
Have fun and be safe on Halloween!
