Astrology & Panic Attacks/Anxiety Part One

This is something that has interested me for a while. As a person who has been suffering from panic attacks and extreme anxiety since my senior year of high school in 2008, this rings home to me.

There are many ways this can manifest. ( And again, just because you have this problem and your natal chart shows it… that does not mean you are doomed for the rest of your life! you CAN get help and can overcome this! )

First, we look to the Moon. The Moon is the most sensitive parts of us. It is what is deep inside of us, our emotions, our stability, our needs. Obsessively controlling our emotions can lead to all sorts of bad things… like anxiety, depression, apathy, substance abuse, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive overeating, drinking, cig smoking… among many others. We can control how we react to emotions, but we can not control how we feel.

Moon in Gemini and Moon in Virgo are two moon signs that are constantly restless, always thinking and have nervous energies. However, all moon signs can have panic attacks and anxiety.

Here are some ways anxiety and panic attacks can manifest in a chart:
- Moon in the signs ruled by Mercury, Gemini and Virgo
- Moon in hard aspect to Mercury
- Moon in hard aspect to Saturn ( Saturn represents fears )
- Moon in hard aspect to Pluto ( Pluto will represent deep fears and deep anxieties, rooting in our past and past hurts. These are irrational fears. )
- Moon in hard aspect to Uranus
- Moon in soft aspects to Uranus, Mercury, Pluto and Saturn can also produce restlessness and anxiety, especially if it is to Mercury and Uranus.
- Moon in the 6th house, Pluto in the 6th house, Mercury in the 6th house, Uranus in the 6th house
- Moon being the ruler of the 6H and making an aspect to Uranus, Saturn Or Mercury ( Like if Cancer is your Moon sign, then Moon is the ruler of your 6H )
- 4th house, 8th house and 12th house placements. Saturn/Pluto in any of those houses, making aspect to the Moon or Mercury can be telling. The ruler of your 6H too.

Anxiety can lead to panic attacks. You can feel anxiety without the actual attack, but anxiety in small doses can be good. It helps get the job done, and it helps you stay focused.

However, when it comes to be too much, you may start to feel restless and shaky ( Mercury energies ). This can lead to panic attacks:

Some hallmark symptoms of panic attacks:
- shortness of breath, feeling like you have to breath more than once, or feel it go through your diaphragm
- fast heart beat
- feeling jittery/shaky
- feelings of impeding doom or death. Some people are extremely afraid of getting sick and dying. ( I am one of them )
- Numbness of neck or face, as well as legs and hands
- Chest pain
- Tingling in arms and feet
- Vision problems. You may become sensitive to light, or you may get tunnel vision.
- Stomach problems, or upset stomach. Stomach aches. That’s because there are a nerve plexus in your digestive system.
- Nausea
- Feeling faint, like you’re going to pass out.

There are more, but that’s what I can think of now. Everyone is different and feels different symptoms. If you feel any of them, it is wise to see an actual doctor to rule out  heart problems or neurological problems. Most people who have panic attacks have been in the ER a few times and when  you go there, they do tests on your lungs and heart to rule out stuff before going to anxiety. They usually know who has anxiety and who doesn’t.

** NOT A DIAGNOSIS! This is intended for people who have already been diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder, or who have been in the ER for panic attacks. If you have not been diagnosed and think you have a problem, this is only a guide, and you should seek help before it gets worse!

My Nana: The Bestest Lady of All Time

My grandmother died 5 years ago on November 12th, 2006. Her birthday was November 6th, 1944. So if she was still alive now she would  be 67 now. Her death was greatly surprising. She was having bad knife-like pains in her legs and she did get help for them, but it was hard for doctors to make a prognosis. She died suddenly on the 12th of November when she went downstairs to go to the bathroom and suddenly couldn’t breathe and then dropped dead.

There were signs though beforehand and two weeks before she died I had a bad feeling about it. I remember saying “She needs to do something or she’s doing to die.” My sister told me that I was beaing mean, but I stated I was telling the truth

I do believe her death could have been prevented with swift diagnosis, rehab, and weight loss. Obviously it would have been unpleasant for her at first. She might have been in the ICU for a couple weeks and then into rehabiliation services, but over a few months ( if she was treated accurately and swiftly ) she would have gotten better within a few months and would have returned to her normal state.I  could be very wrong though.
My grandmother was obese and was having problems losing weight. She also had heart problems. Even a few months before her death she could not finish walking through a park. She had to sit down a lot because she was short of breath.

At the time I didn’t think much of it until two weeks before she died and she was at the hospital a lot. It seems like it should not have been a surprise at all she died, but it was. All the signs were there and it could have been prevented ( or maybe not )

My grandmother was a good lady. She was generous, outgoing, fun loving, kind, and compassionate. She was a Scorpio sun and Leo moon. I’m also a Leo moon. My grandmother and I had a great relationship. We understood each other. They say that your moon sign may represent a mother figure, and my grandmother was often more of a mother figure to me than my mom. My mom’s moon is square to mine, and my grandmother’s moon sign is Leo.

I remember my grandma saying her birth time before, but I only vaguely remember. I sent her birth time at 10 am because I knew she was born sometime in the late morning sometime in 10/11 hour. ( I think? ) Her chart isn’t as accurate but some placements do make sense. Her Jupiter in the 9H indicates that she traveled the world and had a good education. My grandmother with a Sagittarius rising ( athletic and toned when she was young and loving travel, education, teaching, and culture. But when she got older she became overweight and sometimes overindulged. ) and a Venus in the 1st house. Even as an overweight person, people complimented her on her beauty. When she was young, she was extremely beautiful. In many people’s opinion;  not just mine.

My grandmother had a Scorpio Mercury in the 12H. She was a person of great intellectual depth and she considered herself deep. She was outgoing though, but she was not superficial by any means. She was religious though ( Jupiter  and Chiron in the 9H ) and spiritual with Mercury in the 12H. ( Often 9H represents religion and 12H spirituality). She was really into spirituality, even some of the bad parts. For a while, she was interested in demonology. But quit because she didn’t feel right about it and weird stuff started to happen to her. She told me stories of how a cat talked to her in that low voice after she taught a class about that stuff.
My grandmother always warned me about that stuff.

My grandmother was very emotional with her Moon in the 8H. Sometimes she was very irrational though, but it was out of good intentions.

I could go on, but I’m not. Maybe Ill write  a part 2.

Mars transiting my 6th house

Mars has been transiting my 6th house since the middle of October, so it’s  been almost a month.
I’m sick. Not surprising considering it IS November and it IS getting colder, and the air IS getting drier. However, I survived Fall 2008, 2009, and 2010 without getting the flu, viral sore throats and strep throat. I got a couple mild colds that lasted less than 48 hours.

In June of this past year, I had strep throat for the first time since I was 16. However, Mars was transiting another house. In September, I had the cold and another viral sore throat. The cold was worse than the mild sore throat. What scared me about that was there were white patches on the tongue. I probably could have gotten away with not going to the doctor.

This past time, Mars IS transiting through my 6th house, and I had a strep-like sore throat. You know, the one that hurts like there are knives in  your throat. Yeah, and I was having a hard time sleeping and swollowing. What prompted me to seek help was that I was having mild difficulty breathing, but nothing too too serious. I went to the doctor and the strep was negative. So I was diagnosed with viral pharyngitis with really bad swollen tonsils. It was the tonsils getting so big I was having a little of a hard time breathing last night.
Mars in the 6H can be indicative of getting sick. But we can get sick at any transit too. However, Mars in the 6H might indicate a series of infections, or an infection that is worse than the other ones you normally get during the course of a year. It also depends on aspects Mars makes. Most importantly, don’t forget to wash your hands. Astrology is only limited.

Mars transiting the 6H can also indicate a time in your life when you have a heavier work load ( me ), when you might be searching for a better job or actively searching for one if you are umemployed ( I was searching for a seasonal second job but no luck. ), or if you take charge of your health in a good way. Mars transiting the 6H also is not a prognosis that you for sure will get sick. It could also manifest in the OPPOSITE way.

A packed 5th house: A life of creativity and self expression

I think people who have many planets in the 5th house are interesting. In many ways… I’m not a person who has a packed 5th house ( most of my planets fall in the 8H, 9H and 10H, which is true that those houses are an emphasis on my life. )

The 5th house represents love affairs and romance. Dating. But it also represents children, meaning how you view children in general and your own children. I also think it is possible to see what children are in your life by looking at the 5th house… IN A GENERAL WAY OF COURSE! ( Transits, solar return placements, and progressions to the 5H can also indicate how your children < or children whom you watch in a daycare or school setting > act and behave during that time. ) The 5th house also deals with creativity and the arts, as well as self expression.

You can look at “Planets in the 5th house” blog I have from my archives. I am not going to list what individual planets mean, but you can find it on my blog. I wrote it earlier this year.

When someone has a packed 5th house, it means that 5th house matters are important to them or have an emphasis on their lives. One person with a packed 5th house might be all into theatre and drama, and might be a dramatic person! Another person with a packed 5th house might be creative, but puts all their energies through children, either their own or other peoples. Another way this can be is a musician or artist, who is all about freedom of self expression. Or it could be the person who is an idealistic romantic, who likes to have a good time and date around. Or a MIXTURE Of all of the above! Who knows?
Anyway, my boyfriend has a packed 5th house. He has his Cancer sun in the 5th house, which shows his ego is aligned with self expression and creativity. It is the core of his personality. My boyfriend isn’t very Cancer-like though. He has a Capricorn Moon and I see his moon sign a lot, as well as his Leo Venus.

His Leo Mercury is in the 5th house. Leo Mercuries are loud and proud… usually and to a point. My boyfriend has Mercury opposed Saturn, which does make him reserved in communication and sometimes he gets nervous when it comes to that, especially when younger. As he has gotten older, he told me he has been more outgoing and enthusiastic. I see his Leo Mercury in action when someone pisses him off at work and he has to tell EVERYONE about his ordeal. ( Sometimes it is annoying, and my Sagittarius Mercury/9H is like Who cares? ) My boyfriend is very right brained ( Mercury the planet of intellect in learning in the house of creativity and self expression ). He has always been good at art and music. He learned music VERY well. He is PROUD ( Leo ) of what he does.

His Leo Venus is in the 5th house. You might think this indicates someone who has many many love affairs and many many children. His Venus does make some stress aspects as indicated by his chart. My boyfriend can be a typical Leo Venus.. he likes to shower me with praise and he is very affectionate, but you would never get that if you first meet him. This indicates that he loves art, music and self expression. He really loves music.

Lastly there is an unaspected Chiron in the 5H. Chiron in the 5H shows healing from children, love/romance, and creativity. I can say that is probably true for him. He was a late bloomer in love, like myself.
Other people with a packed 5th house might find themselves highly creative, but how this plays out depends on planets.

Happy Halloween Eve

I haven't written any astrology posts in a while, but that's because of working, school, and just everyday things in my life. I haven't even been posting on Yahoo! Answers for a while.
I am still thinking of some good things to blog on:

Here are my ideas:
- More of analyzing charts. These are people in my family and those closest to me.
- Astrology of eating disorders.
- Transits ( general and personal experiences with them ).
- Your work/career life and how you can see that in your own chart.
- Moon signs.
- More synastry, but I gotta think of some.
- Astrology of anxiety and panic disorders. ( and personal experiences thereof. )
- Venus signs.

That's what I have right now. I hope to get the motivation to write more.

Have a safe Halloween.

Moon square Mars in synastry ( by sign ) PART 2

Moon in Libra square Mars in Capricorn: Moon in Libra likes fairness and equality, especially in the domestic sphere. Sometimes he/she can be lazy and apathetic when emotions are sour. Mars in Capricorn is hardworking and has a sensual sexuality that is mostly traditional. Unless Uranus is aspecting Mars or something… Mars in Capricorn likes to get down to business, figure things out, but sometimes they can be icy and indifferent.
In some ways, this is an ice meets ice duo. This is not to say Moon in Libra is icy; this is not the case. Some people with Moon in Libra can be icy, but Libra is an AIR sign. Air is associated with intellect. The Moon is in a creative position. An artsy position.
Sometimes the Mars sees the Moon as too superficial, interested in looks, or too idealistic. The Moon often sees the Mars as uncaring to his/her needs and too much of a staunch realist. The Moon thinks Mars needs to loosen up a bit. If the Moon feels hurt, the Mars sees it as tough love.
The Moon wants fairness. Mars says that is “too tough.”
Moon in Capricorn square Mars in Libra: This is not a showy emotional Moon. They are quite stable emotionally; things to not get to them easily. Mars in Libra is creative, does not get angry too often, and values cooperation.
The Moon likes stability, both financially and emotionally. Moon in Capricorn men and women aren’t into people who crazy party or those who can’t hold a job of some sort. The Moon is a hard worker. They are capable of showing much affection but until you know them better.
Mars in Libra, depending on other factors in the chart, may not seem driven ( in the Moon’s perception ) to bringing financial and emotional stability. This is not to say those with Mars in Libra lack financial and emotional stability; everything depends on the rest of the chart. Mars in Libra might not seem as responsible as the Moon wants them to be or too superficial.
The Mars person might come off as careless to the Moon’s needs, and the Moon might be put of by superficialities.
Moon in Scorpio square Mars in Aquarius is a fixed combination. Scorpio Moon is intensely emotional, whether they show it or not. They can sway between indifference and passion. There is a need to control emotions. Scorpio moon men and women do not want to appear vulnerable. They can hold grudges. Mars in Aquarius is free spirited. They are independent, but not fiercely so. They are open minded about sexuality, and do not get angry easily. Sometimes a seemingly lack of passion can be mistaken for indifference or apathy.
Scorpio Moon wants someone whom he/she can share everything in their life with. They want a companion as well as a partner. Trust is key here. Sometimes the Aquarius Mars person is perfect in many ways; they are loyal and trustworthy, as well as tolerant.
The conflict here is closeness verses independence. They do not necessarily have to be in conflict, though. The Scorpio Moon wants closeness, devotion and loyalty. The Mars person may be capable of closeness depending on other factors in the chart, but they may want some space to do their own thing. Often times, the Moon takes this as a personal rejection or the Mars person doesn’t “care enough.”
Moon in Aquarius verses Mars in Scorpio is similar to the previous post. Moon in Aquarius has as many emotions as other people, but they like to detach themselves from their emotions and analyze them. In many cases, the Moon is aware of his/her emotions, but may not be the type of person who is showy of them. That’s embarrassing to the Moon. Mars in Scorpio is oozing with passion, whether they show it or not. They are extremely secretive, especially about sex. They are slow to get angry, but when they do, watch out.
One would imagine that a Moon in Aquarius would be afraid of a type like Mars in Scorpio, especially if the Moon is a woman and the Mars is a man. Like all Moon-Mars aspects, there is a degree of attraction there.
In this conflict, there may be issues regarding independence/space verses being together. However, the Mars person may seek action to control the Moon person. The Moon person may be capable of such commitment, but he/she does not want to be controlled in any shape, way or form.
If the Mars person is not mature, he/she be extremely possessive. Passions run high. The high passionate energy may be flattering at first, but sometimes it may get scary. The Moon doesn’t want to be possessed and will leave without looking back if Mars keeps on pushing.
All in all, if the Mars is more mature, then the relationship can work out. Moon person needs to be willing to give up some independence, as everyone does that when in a loving relationship.
Moon in Sagittarius square Mars in Pisces: The Moon here is optimistic, freedom loving, and tolerant. The Mars here is creative, dreamy, escapist, and sensitive. In a Female/Moon and Male/Mars traditional arena here, the “independent lady” falls in love with the creative/poetic/musical type of guy. Although this can occur when the Moon is a guy and the Mars is the girl.
Moon in Sagittarius is noted for his/her tolerance and honesty. Sometimes the Moon here is terribly blunt, especially if there is a Mars aspect natally too. Moon in Sagittarius needs to be able to do what he/she wants. Does not mean he/she is afraid of commitment!
The Mars person, if afflicted, can have issues with commitment. Pisces is capable of such, but sometimes gets afraid due to perceived inabilities and insecurities. If this is a man, he/she might be worried about masculinity. It is quite possible that this is a creative/artistic person, but he/she may be a bit unreliable. Sometimes the Mars may be prone to delusions and can cheat.
That is only in the worst of cases. There may not be cheating at all, but disappearing acts, drugs and alcohol, and harming oneself. ( Esp if Mars in the 12H and in Pisces. )
The Moon is likely to get sick of the blaming, drugs, and negative behavior. The Moon also doesn’t like liars.
In good cases, the Mars person not any of those bad things. But he/she might have issues regarding honesty to the Moon person due to being afraid of hurting feelings. The Mars person has many good ideals and the Moon person would be happy to hear them.
Moon in Pisces square Mars in Sagittarius: Moon in Pisces is highly sensitive and idealistic. This is a person who likes to daydream. They are also sensitive to other people’s feelings, sometimes having a hard time saying “no.” Othertimes a Moon in Pisces can be flighty. Mars in Sagittarius is an on the go person; there is a bluntness about them. Like any fire sign, it is likely that anger will erupt quickly, but Sagittarius forgets and moves on. Mars in Sagittarius has a flair for adventure.
Mars is attracted to the Moon’s dreaminess. The Mars likes that the Moon is really up to anything and goes with the flow. The Mars person isn’t too anal, unless other factors in the chart is present. Both the Moon and Mars can be laid back when around each other. The Mars appreciates emotional support from the Moon.
A possible conflict here is when the Mars says and does things that hurts the Moon person. It is possible that the Moon person is, in fact, being hypersensitive, but sometimes he/she can’t help it. The Mars person is blunt and says what is on his/her mind, and sometimes a tactless conversation can hurt the Moon.
The Moon is as adventurous as any person, but prefers to have someone take care of them, or protect them. ( Mostly true for a female ). If Sagittarius doesn’t want to protect the Moon, then the Moon feels like crap.
The Moon will need to toughen up. Mars needs to watch his/her mouth and understand that not everyone is quite as fearless as them.
Moon in Capricorn square Mars in Aries: How can there be any conflict with two “tough” signs? Capricorn is a go-getter, disciplined, rational, and needs stability, both emotional and financial. ( Remember, the Moon is what we need. ). Mars in Aries is also a go-getter, but is sometimes more fierce and in your face than you’d like. Mars in Aries is also fiercely independent and quick to anger, where as Moon in Capricorn is not so much. Capricorn is steady; Aries is impulsive.
How could Mars possibly hurt the Moon? The Moon doesn’t like showy emotions. That’s embarrassing. However, the Moon here likes stability and someone always there. The Moon is disciplined. This is not an impulsive person.
Mars is impulsive. Sometimes there are things said and done to the Moon that’s hurtful, because the Mars is impulsive and sometimes doesn’t think. Sometimes the Moon sees the Mars as someone who is not exactly stable aka someone who will be responsible. At least at that time.
Eventually the Moon will see the Mars as too rash, impatient and selfish. While the Moon is going to like a go getter attitude, that is not all that matters.
This is probably a better position for business partners rather than romantic partners. But again, one aspect will not determine everything.
Moon in Aries square Mars in Capricorn: Moon in Aries is rash, impulsive, creative, a go-getter, and doesn’t like soft emotions that make her/him appear weak. Mars in Capricorn is a slow and steady worker, but gets the job done. Mars in Capricorn is not impulsive, rational and disciplined. This Mars does not get angry easily.
The Mars may see the Moon person as someone who needs more discipline or someone who needs his/her advice. These two can care very much for each other like any couple, but the Moon does NOT like being told what to do. She/he can take care of themselves, thank you very much, and does not need Mars coming in for the control.
The Moon may see the Mars person as an OCD control freak who doesn’t like to let loose and have fun. The Moon may see the Mars person as limiting to his/her self expression.
Again, this is where the conflict may root in. Both can learn from each other.
Moon in Aquarius square Mars in Taurus: The Moon needs to be able to do their own thing, even in a relationship. The Moon needs to be intellectually stimulated. Taurus Mars is often driven by material gains. Aquarius… not so. This Mars may sometimes be seen as selfish or in it for themselves. However, this is a stable Mars.
I don’t see this placement as being the end of the world, per se. However, in many Mars-Moon squares, there is a degree at which the Moon is hurt by what the Mars says or does.
There is a degree of stubborness between both people. The Mars might try to domesticate the Moon person or try to tell the Moon person to be a certain way. Taurus in general is a more traditional and stable sign; it does not like change. Aquarius really just wants to do what it wants and doesn’t care about social mores.
The Moon person may come to resent the Mars person for not “accepting them.” The Moon person is likely to see the Mars person as stubborn and stuck in his/her ways. The Mars person sees the Moon person as someone who is rather offbeat and needs more practical advice.
Moon in Taurus square Mars in Aquarius: The Moon here needs stability and to feel like they are hardworking, earning their material gains. The Moon here can be very possessive of his/her materials, like clothes or video games or food. The Mars here is driven intellectually; Aquarius Mars may be driven to help humanity for the greater good, and it does not get angry too often.
The Moon is sensual and likes commitment. The Mars may want commitment also, but he/she feels that there is other things to do. ( Life is many things and we have many opportunities ). Aquarius is stable emotionally, but not necessarily stable in a way that the Moon would want.
The Mars may not want to settle down when the Moon wants it. But that is really only one way this can manifest. The Mars may hurt the Moon by not being traditional. If this is a male-female case with Mars/man and Moon/woman, the moon may want a more traditional wine and dine relationship. If the Mars/man expects her to pay for herself, then he’s being “cheap.” Again, in astrology there are many ways things can manifest.
Moon in Pisces square Mars in Gemini: A mutable combination. The Moon in Pisces is hypersensitive and some of them need to be protected and have their needs/wants looked after by someone stronger than they are. This Moon needs to daydream and create. Mars in Gemini is erratic, and often doing many things at once.
Conflict here may be when the Moon wants the Mars to be deeper and more sensitive. The Mars is more intellectually stimulated and likes to do many things at once. It is likely that this Mars likes to experiment sexually. The Moon may see Mars as someone who is superficial and not really looking for their needs.
The Moon appreciates when the Mars says something interesting and quirky. The Moon also appreciates it when the Mars is open to doing many fun sexual things. The Mars appreciates when the Moon is deep and philosophical.
They have fun together. It is possible Pisces has its disappearing acts when he/she feels vulnerable, and the Mars is often wondering what he/she did wrong.
Moon in Gemini square Mars in Pisces: The Moon needs intellectual stimulation and multi tasking. This is a person who needs to be doing many things as they get bored easily. Mars in Pisces is creatively driven, perhaps as a musician or artist or writer. Mars in Pisces is sometimes passive-aggressive when they want to get what they want, and often go about things in indirect ways.
The Moon needs and values communication, even if they are shy on the outside. The Mars often “wows” the Moon with his/her creative projects. The Moon thinks that’s awesome and appreciates the Mars for who they are.
A conflict can erupt when the Moon wants a direct communication and doesn’t get it from the Mars. Sometimes the Mars may disappear when they feel vulnerable or oversensitive. The Moon may want the Mars to live in reality sometimes and see what they do to others.
The Mars may not be a reliable person all the time to the Moon and may give mixed messages.
**** These are interpretations of some things that may happen. I say “may”. One aspect is not the end of the world. People are not textbook astrology interpretations.
You may find some of this is true to you and others is not. That is normal and okay.

Moon square Mars in synastry ( by sign ) PART 1

A couple weeks ago I did something on Moon-Mars aspects in synastry, but today I am going to devote this entire post to Moon square Mars. However, one aspect description does not fit all. Signs are not everything in astrology, but they do matter and help out how the aspect is played out in dynamics.

Remember; a square is when two planets are 90 degrees from each other within 8 degrees. Some people will have a weak 7 degree out of sign Leo moon at 28 degrees and a 5 degree Sagittarius Mars. Or there could be a strong 2 degree out of sign square with 28 Leo Moon and 0 Sag Mars.

5 Taurus moon is a tight square with 5 Aquarius Mars.

So if someone has 25 Leo moon and another person has 6 Scorpio Mars that is NOT a square even though the signs are three apart. You have to look at degrees.

—-

Moon in Aries square Mars in Cancer: Aries moon native is often fiery, full of life, assertive and sometimes has anger tendencies. There is an emotional need to be adventurous and a pioneer spirit. Mars in Cancer shows sexuality and action in an emotional, sensual and caring manner.

There is conflict between the two energies, as sometimes the Moon wants the Mars person to nurture them. The Moon may have some jealous tendencies, but is only moderately so. The Mars person tries to nurture the Moon person, but often not the way the Moon person wants to be nurtured. The Moon person may find the Mars person too soft, or too cautious. Aries Moon may find Cancer Mars too passive in sex. This is especially true if the Moon is the woman and the Cancer Mars is the man. The Aries moon might feel hurt if the Cancer Mars doesn’t feel like having sex.

Sometimes Mars in Cancer will give the cold shoulder or retreat when he/she is angry, and this angers the Moon in Aries native. The Moon in Aries person wants to be upbeat and sometimes negativity from Mars in Cancer can bring them down. If Mars is afflicted, then Mars may become extremely moody or even violent towards the Moon person. ( Even though Mars is in Cancer, a water sign ). Emotions can be very powerful for the Mars person and sometimes this can be displaced on the Moon person who might generally have an upbeat and optimistic attitude.

Look to other aspects as to how this aspect plays out.

Moon in Cancer square Mars in Aries is an easy one. Moon in Cancer wants to be nurtured and cared for. Above all, this person can be dependent on relationships for emotional stability and they like stability of all forms. They can be clingy even to relationships that do not work. There is a maternal factor here, especially if the Moon is the woman. ( Although a Moon in Cancer man has the potential to be a great father and is family oriented ). Mars in Aries is assertive ( sometimes aggressive ), pushy and insensitive at times. Sometimes Mars in Aries steps on toes to get where they want to be.

Moon in Cancer finds Mars in Aries to be rather insensitive to his/her needs. He/she finds the Mars person too self absorbed in his/her own affairs and overly independent. Often, the Moon feels that the Mars person does not need him/her. The Mars person finds the Moon person too emotional and needy, as well as clingy.

Not a match made in Heaven, but it can work out as long as other factors are there. Like a Moon-Jupiter, or a Venus Jupiter, as well as Sun-Moon, or Sun-Mars.

Moon in Taurus square Mars in Leo: This combination is generally not the end of the world. Both Taurus and Leo are fixed signs, though. This means that both natives in this relationship are stubborn to a fault.

Moon in Taurus wants security, both emotional and material. He/she is hardworking, but knows how to play hard as well. The Moon is sensitive but not overtly so. Some people with Moon in Taurus are superficial. Mars in Leo has a go getter attitude and can be arrogant, making himself or herself sound better than what they really are. Mars in Leo may not want to hear the Moon’s advice, or think he/she is better than the Moon.

The biggest issue here is the butting of heads. The Moon might find the Mars native stubborn, unwilling to move, and most of all arrogant and conceited. The Mars may find the Moon as too stuck in his/her ways, or fixated on stability and commitment. Mars might even find the Moon as possessive.

The Moon here might want material security; he/she might want to save money or use their money wisely, but there may be cases where the Mars may want to spend money on himself/herself. Or the Moon might want some nice things, but Mars is unwilling to give it to them. This may be especially true if Moon/Mars overlays in synastry fall into the 2H or 8H.

The biggest problem here is probably compromise. The Mars could be a little less conceited and weigh how their behavior affects the Moon. The two of them can accomplish a lot if they learn to compromise and work together. Two fixed signs together are capable of such; compromise is the key. Anything is possible.

Moon in Leo square Mars in Taurus: Again, another fixed sign duo. ( I am the Moon in Leo female and my boyfriend is the Mars in Taurus male ). Moon in Leo wants praise, attention and love. Moon in Leo males and females need this in order to function well in the world. Mars in Taurus is “slow and steady”, cautious, and slow to show anger. Sometimes they can be described as ‘selfish’ in the material realm, but they are highly sensual. Moon in Leo may appreciate Mars in Taurus ability to work hard and not give up, but gets fed up if they pursue their own goals instead of giving the Moon attention.

Mars might do some things that the Moon sees as insensitive, or uncaring to their needs. Moon in Leo wants attention and adoration, and anything LESS is seen as insensitive. It is easy for the Moon to feel down in the dumps if the Mars person ignores them.
